Coastal Pirates Inline Hockey Club
Tucked inside the iconic MTC Dome in Swakopmund, Namibia’s favorite coastal playground, you’ll find the beating heart of inline hockey: the Coastal Pirates Inline Hockey Club. Founded back in 1995, the Pirates have spent the past three decades building a legacy of grit, teamwork, and community spirit – and this year, they proudly celebrated their 30th birthday in true Pirate style! 🎉
From the very beginning, the club has thrived thanks to the dedication of world-class international coaches and the unshakable “practice-makes-perfect” attitude of its players. What started as a bold idea has grown into a powerhouse with 135 active members today – a true family united by passion for the game.
The Pirates’ crew is as diverse as it is dynamic. The youngest skaters set sail on the rink at just four years old, while our fearless Masters division continues to show off serious skill well into their fifties. And the ship never stops welcoming new adventurers – every week, curious newcomers lace up at our free Learn to Skate sessions, testing their balance and discovering the thrill of the sport.
Whether you’re chasing championships, skating for fun, or joining the awesome roller discos, the Coastal Pirates have something for everyone. After 30 years of hockey, laughter, and plenty of Pirate pride – one thing’s for sure: this ship is only gaining speed!
